Pacsun Kendall and Kylie – Crop Top

Pacsun Kendall and Kylie Kardashian

It has been a while since I have been able to sit down and write. I apologize for my absence in writing, but I’ve had so many opportunities building up and my health has been a rollercoaster. So much has happened over time but I’m still strong and ready to go. The weather is definitely hotter as of lately, so it’s about time to show some skin and be the California girl that I am in my Pacsun Kendall and Kylie crop top!

I recently went to San Francisco with some college friends and had a blast! My friends left last Friday and planned to return on Monday. I couldn’t go at the time because I was not able to get a shift covered on Saturday. Since I had a strong urge and desire to join them, I randomly booked a ticket to meet them in San Francisco after my shift. My friends thought I was crazy but was excited I’d make it out. Being a free spirited person, I was so thrilled to travel randomly. Traveling is one of my passions and I feel extremely light hearted and free when I do so. I guess I can say traveling is a must in my nature.

I recently went shopping with my sister and checked out the Pacsun Kendall and Kylie clothing line. Surprisingly, I loved every piece they had to offer. In this outfit, I’m wearing a black crop top with blue and white floral designs by the Pacsun Kendall and Kylie line, hat by Urban Outfitters, Converse shoes, high-waist shorts by F21, and sunglasses by ZeroUV. Lately I have been relying on my high top Converse, since I feel like they match with anything and everything. When I packed for San Francisco, I had a bag of clothes and just my Converse on. :p The top by Pacsun Kendall and Kylie is also very comfortable. I think I’ll shop some of their other items soon. :]

Why Every Girl Needs a Maxi Dress

I think that every girl should have a maxi dress in their closet. I like to wear them because they are comfortable, ethereal, flattering, and transitional between seasons. Since my maxi dress worn in the photo does not have a v-neck (which shows a little skin and tricks the eyes into seeing a taller figure), I added a simple long necklace to help guide the eyes in a vertical manner and thus, is a little trick to a taller figure.

Right Way to Wear a Maxi Dress

for any Season

Maxi dresses can be transitional through seasons simply depending on how you wear it. For the summer, you can wear it as is with a cute pair of open-toe heels/wedges, sandals, or even sneakers (dress it up or down). As for the transition into fall, I would pair my black maxi dress with booties and a long cardigan or sweater.

for Short Girls

If you’re petite, maxi dresses can be a bit tricky because there’s a possibility of looking like tent. When I shop for one a maxi dress, I make sure the upper body is form fitting or at least accentuates the waist area. Also, it’s a bonus if the dress shows the figure on the thigh area. In this way, you won’t look stubby or heavier than your actual figure. If the maxi dress does not accentuate the waist, I would highly suggest a belt to show some curves.

One last aspect of maxi dresses I love is the ethereal feeling it gives, especially when the wind blows. I secretly feel prettier whenever the wind catches my long dress…

Crocheted Tops Will Make you Drop

Now that summer is creeping up and so is the temperature, crocheted tops and printed jersey pants are one of my top summer picks. After my first experience at Coachella 2015, I fell in love with the crocheted look because of the festive summer vibe it gives. Another reason why I love this look is because it is airy (my body can breathe!) without being too exposed. At the same time, it is dauntless with the perfect touch of sexiness from my pointed, black heels. Lastly, as a must, it is comfortable. So there is no pain to gain…

I also like to wear sandals with this outfit if I know I will be walking throughout the day. I wore this outfit on my way to this photoshoot because it’s so easy to move around in. Luckily I did… When I met up with K.C. Nekro to shoot, it was a Sunday, meaning the main entrance to the location was locked! I had to climb up 5 stories on a ladder from the fire escape to reach the roof top patio! Even though I work out at least 3 times a week (running a mile as a warm up), I have to admit, it made me realize I may need to add more cardio and endurance training to my workout (lol). I was breathing heavily with the need to catch my breath before the shoot.

During the shoot, K.C. and I learned that we had a lot in common. We’re both ridiculous fans of Japanese animation (Furi Kuri aka Fooly Cooly was our main anime discussed), love mellow lounge music, talked about different types of photography, and discussed about trying to make it and what it means to make it in the concrete jungle of Los Angeles.
