Happy Women’s Day! Unveiled: Black Tobi Bra
Tobi Collaboration: Black Tobi Bra
Happy Women’s Day! In this look, I am wearing a black Tobi bra. This black Tobi bra is very comfortable, sexy, and elegant. It’s perfect for a confidence booster just because it feels so sexy… I love this black Tobi bra because it can be worn in a way to be shown, such as a very low v-neck or cut-up tank top. Also, this black Tobi bra feels very natural, meaning it depicts my natural shape. Get this sexy and comfortable Black Tobi Bra here.
The reason why I decided to reveal myself today is because I am proud to be a woman. I am proud of what I have achieved til this day and will struggle for more success. I’ve been told many times in the past, “You should dye your hair back to normal… You should wear heels more often… Punk clothing or grungy clothing doesn’t suit you.” Those words hurt me because they came from individuals I cared about, but today I stand strong to be who I want and to express whatever I want.
Unveiling myself today is my expression of self liberation.
International Women’s Day
When I was growing up, I had a lot of multifaceted perspectives of my position in society. My father raised me like a son (because of his desire of having a son), and my mother raised me as a daughter. Although my father made me strong in a masculine way, some members of my family would lecture me on how to be “lady-like” and told me all the “do’s and don’ts”. People in school, work, and even social media have expectations of women to be passive or even worse, silent in their opinions and voice.
Even today, women from all over the world live in male dominated societies. I remember reading an extensive amount of Ueno Chizuko’s (上野 千鶴子) work during college, and I am greatly influenced by her and many of my professors. One idea to liberate women is to masculinize women and to feminize men, so that there is an understanding and respect for one another. What I think is important in liberation of women is simply emerging from individualism, to be a free decision maker.
Today, March 8th, 2016, is a day of celebration and recognition of the struggle and empowerment of women across the world and throughout history. Today is a day to express love and appreciation for what empowerment women have gained politically, economically, and socially.
Women’s Day Quotes
Here are a few of my favorite quotes of inspiring women throughout history.
“You can bind my body, tie my hands, govern my actions: you are the strongest, and society adds to your power; but with my will, sir, you can do nothing.” –George Sand, a 19th century French novelist and essayist.
“We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated”. –Maya Angelou
“If you set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing”. –Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013)
“I think one’s feelings waste themselves in words; they ought all to be distilled into actions which brings results”. –Florence Nightingale (1820-1910)
Lastly, here is a quote from myself:
(Do not be afraid to be different from that of the other , have confidence in yourself , to live strongly). -Yuki <3
