Summer to fall fashion already? Although it is still hot and super sunny in California, fall fell right into place. If you are a busy bee, it is very helpful to find a way to transition your summer wardrobe to fall fashion.
“TRANSITIONING FROM SUMMER TO FALL FASHION”
Keep Your Maxi Dresses and Summer Skirts
Before you stow away your maxi dresses and summer skirts, you can still use them for summer to fall fashion. Simply add a belt and long sleeves (such as a sweater, cardigan, or jacket). I like to wear sweaters over my skirts and dresses.
Add Tights
Adding tights to your dresses or even shorts is a way of soft transition. If the weather is still hot where you live, pick out thin tights or lacy ones.
Layer Up
This is pretty self-explanatory but layer up! Add a sweater, jacket, leggings, cardigan, scarf, etc. to add to your fall look. I usually like to add flannels to my tanks or even rompers. Fedora hats are also one of my favorite accessories to add.
Invest in a Statement Making Jacket
Jackets are a must for fall, especially for summer to fall fashion. From military style to blazers, jackets and other toppers are one of my favorite pieces to add. Depending on how you style an outfit, jackets are usually the main focus of an outfit. So do not be afraid to wear something bold. You can pair a jacket with one of your lighter summer tops.
Add Deeper Colors
One of my favorite things about fall fashion is the rich and deep colors that are usually used. Deep colors can add a mysterious vibe to your look, so it’s always fun to play with harmonizing different deep colors. If you are not sure on what colors match, it is always safe to be monochromatic. Monochrome is always sleek and chic.
Buy Boots
Boots are a must for fall. They are a staple and easily make your summer outfits ready for fall. I usually like to wear boots with my floral skirts for an easy season transition. Boots are perfect since you can just add them to almost anything.
In this photo shoot, I opened up my closet and chose random pieces. This shoot took place in Old Town Pasadena. It’s always fun to mix things up. :]
