Otaku Fest 2015!!! #AnimeExpo

I must say, sometimes Japanese animation or Tokyo Street Fashion influences my fashion sense. Fashion is certainly one of my favorite ways to express myself. These photos were taken about a year ago but it is still one of my favorite photo shoots. The colors are fun, the mood is spunky, and it is daringly sexy. Just like some Japanese animations…..

Just a Manga Girl with Geeky Glasses

One of my first part-time jobs during high school was actually a cashier and sales associate in an animation toy store that sold everything related to Japanese animation. It was definitely one of my favorite jobs (lol). I wore thick, black framed glasses and did nothing but work, did my homework, played Final Fantasy, and watch anime (lol)…

Anyone bought their ticket for the Anime Expo (aka AX) yet? I already bought mine! AX is the largest Anime Convention held in the United States with about 86,000 attendants.  Yes, if you ever wondered, I am a nerd… This year’s AX has many special guests such as voice actors, cosplay professionals, manga /anime creators, musicians, and many more. I would certainly love to meet Tomoyo Kurosawa, Vampy Bit Me, WagakkiBand, and must I go on?

I look forward to attending the CrunchyRoll Industry Panel, masquerades, DragonBall Z: Resurrection “F” Panel, Gundum Model Builiding, FUNimation Industry Panel, and multiple manga panels.

One factor I love about AnimeExpo or other anime conventions is that everyone who attends are very appreciative to be there; attendees seem to always make the most of it. It’s exciting to see attendees cosplay because in a way, it is courageous to show what you love and simply be proud of it, especially if it is not considered common. What’s so phenomenal about it is, in a way, everyone is connected through their common interests at the convention, including myself.
