Hentai Embarrassment, Anime Expo 2015

My weekend at the Anime Expo was incredibly fantastically fun! I got to see so many cosplays and panels. I had a press pass, but unfortunately it seems that the Expo this year was very strict on everything; you had to have pre-authorized permission for many panels and events. Also, I was not able to use my phone for social media outlets because of so many dead zones throughout the convention center so I am currently editing videos of recorded material on my phone.

I got to hang out with Emily Tangerine and Eddie, an old friend I met at K-Con in 2013. We were roaming around the convention and checking out the cosplayers, food trucks, and fashion show (currently editing a few videos). At night, all of the hentai panels were happening so Emily and I decided to try and experience the bashful animated porn (lol). Eddie was tempted to leave us since he was uncomfortable with the topic but we convinced him to attend with us (poor guy… lol). Unfortunately, every panel was at maximum capacity! Even though Emily, Eddie, and I had press passes, we were not able to attend any of the hentai panels! We were so shocked but laughed at the situation by joking there were so many perverts and we were one of them (lol). Eddie asked us if we were embarrassed at trying to attend an 18+ event but we said, “Hey, this is a once a year event so why not go?” Emily and I believed why should be embarrassed over attending something that people truly have an interest in? It may be considered strange but we should be respectful in other people’s interest, right? Emily and I did notice that when we were trying to find a panel to attend, many people looked a little shy and embarrassed. So, Emily and I shouted, “Darn it! We want to watch the hentai panel!!!” I was happy to see that the shy people in line laughed and looked a little more comfortable. :]

Here’s a glimpse of my time at Anime Expo 2015!

Day One of Anime Expo Frenzy

Day One of Anime Expo

Day One of Anime Expo ... Los Angeles Convention Center ... yukibomb, Chitoge, Nisekoi ... Cosplay ... Sailor Moon ... Nicadmous ... Jack Frost ...Yesterday was the first day of Anime Expo 2015 and so far, I am impressed by the countless cosplayers. If no one saw, I cosplayed myself as Chitoge from the new anime series, “Nisekoi” (my current favorite!). As I entered the South Hall, I did not realize how popular my character I chose to cosplay was. I would have random people shout, “CHITOGE!” which was very amusing and funny. Everyone was so excited and vibrant from all the positive energy. Another great vibe from the convention I noticed was the friendliness from people you do not see regularly in Los Angeles.

Day One of Anime Expo ... Los Angeles Convention Center ... yukibomb, Chitoge, Nisekoi ... Cosplay ... Sailor Moon ... Nicadmous ... Jack Frost ...

There were countless cosplayers that I was very excited to see. There was a Sailor Moon group (YouTube video coming soon), Dragon Ball group, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII, Parasyte, Nisekoi, Full Metal Alchemist, High School of the Dead, characters from various Miyazaki Hayao films, and so much more. I am sure that if I kept going, the list would take up the whole post (lol)!Day One of Anime Expo ... Los Angeles Convention Center ... yukibomb, Chitoge, Nisekoi ... Cosplay ... Sailor Moon ... Nicadmous ... Jack Frost ...

I went to the convention by myself and was actually roaming around for a few hours taking videos, pictures, and attending panels and events. For those of you who plan to attend, I recommend purchasing wifi from the Los Angeles Convention Center since there are so many dead zones. I couldn’t make calls, texts, or post anything online. So instead, I took my time to just enjoy myself and the environment (besides, I kept getting stopped to take pictures for my costume). I ran into so many old friends from high school to college so it was nice to just regularly converse and catch up on things without using smart phones.

Another person I was happy to run into is Nicadmous. He is one of my favorite supporters and is very kind. We ran into each other over at the Anime Karaoke event. We took pictures, talked about some anime, and Nylon Pink.

Palm Tree Obsession – Edgy A-Line Print

Edgy A-Line Print Dress ... classic with a summer twist ... Sangria Sunday ... feminine and know how to have fun ... Disney Land, California Adventure ...

Test There are many summer obsessions this year and palm prints are definitely one of them. I love this dress cut because it is very classic but with a summer twist. The best characteristic this dress gives is classy but cool. The palm print dress takes a classic cut dress into an outfit that says, “I’m feminine and know how to have fun”. Petticoats are not required for this dress since the thick material adds enough natural shape.

I wore this on a brunch date with my sister in Newport Beach and it was perfect with the sunny weather and Sangria Sunday (which is my favorite drink!). I had the amazing feeling of summer perfection with my palm tree prints, warm breeze, and refreshing drinks made with real fruit.

Although I had a perfect Sunday, this week will be one of my busiest weeks ever. My friend from Japan, Yoshi, is visiting me this week on short notice. I met her during college in the international extension center and we both got along right away. She taught me how to cook her favorite Japanese dishes and she was always there for me when I was down during those days. For that reason, I spent so much time prepping her guest room and guest bathroom (because I love her so much and want everything perfect for her).

I also have work, company meeting/dinner, and much prepping to do for the Anime Expo this week! I am ecstatic to announce that I will be co-hosting for LA18 at the Anime Expo. Aside from the stress of short prep time I have this week, I am super ecstatic about it for everything.

Yoshi works for Disney so hopefully I will have the time to join her in visiting the happiest place on earth, Disney Land and California Adventure. So in order for me to go, I need to prepare everything in advance and hopefully be able to go to Disney Land and eat Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream.

Midnight Blue Jumpsuit for any Season

I have been really into one-piece outfits lately, especially jumpsuits and rompers. This simple midnight blue jumpsuit I am wearing is a great effortless look. I love how there are pockets on the side and a drawstring so it can show a summer-ready figure. This jumpsuit is also great to have since it can transition to autumn very easily. In other words, it is season-less.

Wearing simple clothing is fun because you can add something heavy or complicated like the linked chain necklace shown in my photos. This necklace is absolutely one of my favorite necklaces (you can probably catch me wearing them in a few other photos/videos such as my Twitter: @ogYukiBomb and Instagram: @YukiBomb).

I wore this outfit on my recent trip to Las Vegas with my family and I surprisingly had a lot of compliments from random women. It’s a safe and sophisticated look. I like putting my hands in my pocket while I’m walking in this piece because it makes me feel resilient yet feminine. I think this look is best with my hair up so that it draws more attention on the necklace and neck. Simplicity is sometimes best, is it not? :]

Passion, Projects, Pandora…

I’m excited to say that I have many projects lining up for me. Unfortunately I cannot say exactly what yet, but what I can tell you is that I will be collaborating with KC Nekro. KC and I recently had a conversation about music and I introduced him to one of my favorite artists that I recently heard on Pandora. My current repeat list is Alina Baraz and Galimatias’ Ep, “Urban Flora”. I feel like this amazing EP embodies a great part of my soul and personality. The music, rhythm, and lyrics are just incredibly amazing. One day later, KC texted me and said, “I CAN’T STOP LISTENING TO ALINA BARAZ!!!” (lol) So, we were then inspired and will be working together to deliver a part of our passion in the form of music.

Let me know below what you guys think about this post. :] I’m curious to know…

Lace... Look Sexy NOT Slutty ... California Girl ... Yuki Ito ... Evolution of Fashion │ Make a Statement ... Signs Your Photographer is a GREAT Fit ...

How to Look Sexy NOT Slutty

This sheer lace jumpsuit screams out sexy, but how sexy can you be without being raunchy? I have always preferred clothing that has sexiness with taste and not looking unrefined. Yes, this outfit is definitely bold, but it is all about how you rock it.

California Girl

The sheerness of this look makes it no problem to wear during the hot summer nights in California. The black fedora and chained statement necklace adds a little spunk to the look. Under the sheer lace, I am wearing high waist spandex and a basic black bra. In my opinion, the black high waist shorts are a must; I tried wearing lower waist shorts and I thought there was too much skin exposed.

As for shoes, I thought heels would add a final touch of something provocative. Booties would be a great substitute for the look because it would balance by adding a touch of virility.

Evolution of Fashion │ Make a Statement

I have to admit, although I had many compliments on this look, it took a bit of time to get used to wearing this in public. This jumpsuit reminds me of seductive lingerie and that can make a girl blush. I grew up quite reserved so I feel that I have evolved out of my shell more by wearing this.

I felt shy at first, but then courageous and sexy. The material is noticeably thin, so at first I was concerned about ripping it. Then I realized, maybe a lacerated look would be fun… Or the process of doing so would be more fun… (jk).

Signs Your Photographer is a GREAT Fit

This shoot obviously took place in public. As I was shooting, there were a few onlookers that made me feel very uncomfortable (lol). I usually find locations that have very little traffic as possible, but since Sebastian (the photographer, his website is cbfour.co) and I were on a time crunch, we randomly chose this little spot in North Hollywood.

Also, the weather was a bit cloudy and breezy, so we had to chase tiny spots of sunlight and wait for some wind to hit. Oh, the troubles of limited time and photo shoots… But Sebastian and I learned to work with what was available and thus, were very satisfied with the result of the photos. Sebastian is one of my favorite photographers since we seem to connect through artistic values.

I grew up learning a bit about zodiacs so whenever I work with people for some time, I have an odd habit of asking for their zodiac. So on this day, I asked Sebastian about his zodiac and found out that our zodiacs match fairly well. I believe that it is very important to have a good and true connection with people, especially with the ones you work with to create something.

No wonder I love his work. He’s talented and we get along. :]

I immediately fell in love with this see-through white polyester blouse when I laid eyes on it. This blouse is sexy because it allows you to reveal your curves but the design and cut makes it cute. This oversized look has the best of both worlds since it is see-through. I love that only the bust area is covered because when you look, it is a tease which adds sexiness without overdoing it.

Play Ball!

Although it is a blouse, it has a sporty feel to it since the design reminds me of a referee coach. The high-waist black spandex gives a good balance from the oversized shirt by accentuating the hips. I personally prefer to cover up my belly button because in a way, it is another type of tease. High-waist shorts or pants also distract the eyes from the belly area to the upper torso and it accentuates my hips. I love this pair of spandex because the cotton material makes it comfortable and it reminds me of my glory years of playing volleyball (lol).

Below the Belt

This outfit can be dressed up by heels or down with sneakers. I’ve worn both with this outfit. One thing about this blouse is that it only covers the bust area which means the wearer needs to be careful not to raise their arms too high. If arms are raised too high while wearing this blouse, it can reveal you covered area. So when wearing blouses like these, make sure you wear a bandeau under.

Chasing my shadow…

Let’s Get Ready to RUMBLE!

The photo above is my favorite photo from this shoot. Sebastian (Studio Owner and Photographer, CBfour) and I were talking about future photoshoot projects and how we can be experimental.

Tease the Referee

As we were shooting this, my shadows were very evident among the large grey wall. I suddenly had the idea of playing around with my shadows and viola, this photo happened. It was not easy achieving this photo, since the shadow is only created by the quick second the flash of the lamps go off. So in a way, I was chasing my shadow. What a tease…

My Secret Fashion Finds

Pre-Loved Fashion Finds for Less

In the middle of busy Korea Town in Los Angeles, there lies a charming and humble consignment shop called “Orange LA Boutique”. This boutique carries vintage to recent authentic luxury brands. The owner, Miss Stephanie, chooses every item very carefully for her delightful shop. Her sales associates are also extremely helpful and very kind.

These extravagant fashion finds gets me every time I shop here. I am always astounded by how inexpensive all of the items are. It’s definitely much more inexpensive than buying previously loved items online. The previously loved items include brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Manolo Blahnik, Marc Jacobs, Tori Burch, Jimmy Choo’s, Hermes, and so much more. All items in the store are lightly used to like-new which are in great condition. I am also always impressed by the selection which this store provides. I went shopping here last Saturday and oh my goodness, I wanted everything…

There were a few items that caught my attention on Saturday. At first, I immediately thought the gold chain would be very much like Katt, but I also favor it myself. It has an urban feel to it while displaying the Chanel brand which reminds the wearer of the classiness Chanel delivers. Next to the golden chain is a pair of Chanel heels. These heels also have edginess to it compared to classic Chanel. I love how there are studs on the sides and the metal brackets connected to the heel. Very unique compared to other bulky black heels that are currently commonly worn. These heels also remind me of the 90’s bulky black heel trend.

Miss Stephanie was kind enough to let me do a live stream of my time shopping using Periscope (@Yuki_Ito5). I had such a great time since I was able to ask an audience of their opinion towards whatever item I chose. As I was shopping around, I saw a few items that reminded me of my bandmates, Kiki Wongo and Katt Lee of Nylon Pink. I absolutely must have a shopping day with them here sometime soon!

Why Every Girl Needs a Maxi Dress

I think that every girl should have a maxi dress in their closet. I like to wear them because they are comfortable, ethereal, flattering, and transitional between seasons. Since my maxi dress worn in the photo does not have a v-neck (which shows a little skin and tricks the eyes into seeing a taller figure), I added a simple long necklace to help guide the eyes in a vertical manner and thus, is a little trick to a taller figure.

Right Way to Wear a Maxi Dress

for any Season

Maxi dresses can be transitional through seasons simply depending on how you wear it. For the summer, you can wear it as is with a cute pair of open-toe heels/wedges, sandals, or even sneakers (dress it up or down). As for the transition into fall, I would pair my black maxi dress with booties and a long cardigan or sweater.

Right Way to Wear a Maxi Dress

for Short Girls

If you’re petite, maxi dresses can be a bit tricky because there’s a possibility of looking like tent. When I shop for one a maxi dress, I make sure the upper body is form fitting or at least accentuates the waist area. Also, it’s a bonus if the dress shows the figure on the thigh area. In this way, you won’t look stubby or heavier than your actual figure. If the maxi dress does not accentuate the waist, I would highly suggest a belt to show some curves.

One last aspect of maxi dresses I love is the ethereal feeling it gives, especially when the wind blows. I secretly feel prettier whenever the wind catches my long dress…

Hot Otaku Fest 2015 – AX

Otaku Fest 2015!!! #AnimeExpo

I must say, sometimes Japanese animation or Tokyo Street Fashion influences my fashion sense. Fashion is certainly one of my favorite ways to express myself. These photos were taken about a year ago but it is still one of my favorite photo shoots. The colors are fun, the mood is spunky, and it is daringly sexy. Just like some Japanese animations…..

Just a Manga Girl with Geeky Glasses

One of my first part-time jobs during high school was actually a cashier and sales associate in an animation toy store that sold everything related to Japanese animation. It was definitely one of my favorite jobs (lol). I wore thick, black framed glasses and did nothing but work, did my homework, played Final Fantasy, and watch anime (lol)…

Anyone bought their ticket for the Anime Expo (aka AX) yet? I already bought mine! AX is the largest Anime Convention held in the United States with about 86,000 attendants.  Yes, if you ever wondered, I am a nerd… This year’s AX has many special guests such as voice actors, cosplay professionals, manga /anime creators, musicians, and many more. I would certainly love to meet Tomoyo Kurosawa, Vampy Bit Me, WagakkiBand, and must I go on?

I look forward to attending the CrunchyRoll Industry Panel, masquerades, DragonBall Z: Resurrection “F” Panel, Gundum Model Builiding, FUNimation Industry Panel, and multiple manga panels.

One factor I love about AnimeExpo or other anime conventions is that everyone who attends are very appreciative to be there; attendees seem to always make the most of it. It’s exciting to see attendees cosplay because in a way, it is courageous to show what you love and simply be proud of it, especially if it is not considered common. What’s so phenomenal about it is, in a way, everyone is connected through their common interests at the convention, including myself.

Here’s a video on 2014’s AX

“Little Mix” Got the Kicks

Little Mix Black Magic

Behind the Scenes

I recently did a cameo in a music video for Little Mix in their latest single, “Black Magic” which was directed by the well-known Director X. Little Mix is an English girl group formed in 2011. They have charted top 5 in eight countries and have millions of fans with over 7.5 million records sold.

Little Mix LOVES their Fans in a BIG Way #GirlBand

Although it was a long day, being on set is always fun because you get to meet new and interesting people, converse, and hear their stories about hardship, dedication, and passion within the entertainment industry. Many of the extras on set were actually real live super fans of Little Mix, which is super awesome of Little Mix to allow. I thought it was very admirable.

The shoot took 2 days and took place at the University of Southern California and an old warehouse created for television shows located somewhere in Downtown Los Angeles. Although I can be found in the music video for a bit, I filmed on the second day, for 18 hours. I was so exhausted by the end of the day, since I only had 3 hours of sleep from the previous night.

I’m NOT a Bully, Just One of the Girls

#MeanGirls

A couple days ago, one of my good friends in Japan messaged me through the LINE app and said, “I found you!” with the link of the music video included. I was surprised because I told no one about my shoot with this cute girl group. At the time I received the message, I was surprised because the music video was released only for a few hours. It’s always so strange to watch yourself on any sort of media so I felt sort of shy and embarrassed. :p

Extra FUN with Little Mix in "Black Magic" │ YukiBomb.com

My outfit for the shoot was a blue leather jacket, a white crop top, black pleather shorts, and black open-toed heels. My role was a mean college girl, making fun of a nerd with my mean girlfriends. I felt like one of the main characters from the movie starring Lindsay Lohan, “Mean Girls.” It was pretty fun since Mean Girls is my favorite chick-flick.

All 4 girls from Little Mix, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, were very sweet and kind to everyone. They were very talkative, humorous, and joked with everyone on set. You can immediately tell that the 4 girls got along with each other, as they walked onto set, holding hands like little sisters.

After my 10th cup of coffee and nibbling on cheese and crackers, I got to have a stimulating conversation with Perrie and Jade. We talked about music, touring, and the cultural differences between America and the UK. Their English accents were also interesting to hear, since I’m so used to Californians.

Little Mix Black Magic Lyrics

All the girls on the block knocking in my door
Wanna know what it is make the boys want more

Is your lover
Playing on your side
Said he loves you
But he ain’t got time
Here’s the answer
Come and get it
At a knocked down price
Full of honey
Just to make him sweet
Crystal ballin’
Just to help him see what he’s been missing
So come and get it
While you still have time
Get your boy on his knees and repeat me after me say

Take a sip of my secret potion
I’ll make you fall in love
For a spell that can’t be broken
One drop should be enough
For you belong to me
I got the recipe
And it’s called black magic (and it’s called black magic)
