My weekend at the Anime Expo was incredibly fantastically fun! I got to see so many cosplays and panels. I had a press pass, but unfortunately it seems that the Expo this year was very strict on everything; you had to have pre-authorized permission for many panels and events. Also, I was not able to use my phone for social media outlets because of so many dead zones throughout the convention center so I am currently editing videos of recorded material on my phone.

I got to hang out with Emily Tangerine and Eddie, an old friend I met at K-Con in 2013. We were roaming around the convention and checking out the cosplayers, food trucks, and fashion show (currently editing a few videos). At night, all of the hentai panels were happening so Emily and I decided to try and experience the bashful animated porn (lol). Eddie was tempted to leave us since he was uncomfortable with the topic but we convinced him to attend with us (poor guy… lol). Unfortunately, every panel was at maximum capacity! Even though Emily, Eddie, and I had press passes, we were not able to attend any of the hentai panels! We were so shocked but laughed at the situation by joking there were so many perverts and we were one of them (lol). Eddie asked us if we were embarrassed at trying to attend an 18+ event but we said, “Hey, this is a once a year event so why not go?” Emily and I believed why should be embarrassed over attending something that people truly have an interest in? It may be considered strange but we should be respectful in other people’s interest, right? Emily and I did notice that when we were trying to find a panel to attend, many people looked a little shy and embarrassed. So, Emily and I shouted, “Darn it! We want to watch the hentai panel!!!” I was happy to see that the shy people in line laughed and looked a little more comfortable. :]

Here’s a glimpse of my time at Anime Expo 2015!
